hey guys, so about 4 or 5 days ago my sound cut out and started getting really fuzzy, going in and out. it eventually stopped working alltogether. from time to time i will get sound back (very clearly) for about a half a second or so then stop again. this was after i came back to the computer after it was in hibernate i believe. at this point i dont think that previous statement makes any difference, though. here's why. i'll go through the list of what i've done. help would be extremely greatful seeing how the lenovo call help sucks and keep hanging up on me or giving me numbers that don't work.
so here it is. i have:
-restarted my computer
-checked the sound settings for muting of any sort(both in system tray and advanced options)
-disabled the driver, restarted and enabled it again
-uninstalled and reinstalled drivers
-check disc seemed to solve it until i turned my computer off and turned it back on
-cleaned my registry and checked for errors
-used the windows wizard to check errors for sound
-updating everything, even if it had nothing to do with sound.
-ran system file checker(sfc /scannow)
so there it is. it's hard to list everything i've done because its been so much. i called support and they didnt help one bit. they kept forwarding me to other people and hanging up on me. i was told to call the american number, but it just ended up calling some weird brazilian political group. i bought the computer in the USA, but i'll be in brazil for the next 3 months. i'm still in warrenty, its still just about a half a year old.

i went to intel's site and updated the drivers to the chip itself and my sound has been good ever since.
