Hi and welcome to the forum!
The latest version of lenovo system reference document only mentions anti-glare as an available option on E420s:-
"14.0" (355mm) HD (1366x768) color, anti-glare with infinity display, LED backlight, 200 nits, 16:9 aspect ratio, 300:1 contrast ratio"
I believe that the one currently being sold on lenovo's website is the same anti-glare display:-
"14.0" W HD (1366 x 768) LED Backlight, Infinity Glass, Low-light sensitive HD Webcam, includes Mobile Broadband"
If I were you I would call them to have this confirmed.
Hope this helps.

thank you for the response..
in that document, it does say that the e420s come with anti glare LED...
if this is true, lenovo should state that when purchasing e420s...
ill confirm with the sales team.
thank you.

Hello all,
I've just talked to lenovo sales rep in slovakia and he wasn't sure if anti-glare on e420/s means it's completly matte display or just some not-so-glossy display..could anyone please bring some light into this?
Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum honelnik!
As far as I know there is no in-between, if it's anti-glare then that means full matte screen, whereas glossy is completely glare screen.
Hope this helps.

honelnik,
If you search for forums for screenshots of lenovo e420s, it is definately not antiglare (matte finish). it is a glossy display.
here is a link

i don't know why the reps are saying its anti glare

This is the reply I got from lenovo staff:-
"Infinity glass means that the display itself has no external bezel. The glass stretches across the entire B cover faceplate. Compared to what people consider anti-reflective/anti-glare, this display has glare from the glass surface and is closer to glossy than it is AR/AG. If you're sensitive to glare, pick another machine."
In a nutshell, the anti-glare screen has gloss too.
Hope this helps.

thats so odd..
why would a company make a antiglare screen and put a glass on top of it.
well anyways, i think this is still a good laptop.
it would be better if its FULLY anti glare
