thinkpad edge 0301-xf1 no power

My wifes laptop was working fine and today it won't power on, nothing.Can't get it to do anything.

She usually leaves it plugged in all the time.

Is there any way to reset it?

Windows 7 home.

Pull out the battery and AC. Press the power button ten times in succession, then hold it down for ten. Plug the AC back in and try turning it on again.

Failing that, open it up and unplug the CMOS battery overnight.
