tpshocks.exe , SSD

Hi,

I have ThinkPad Edge E420s. I have a process running called tpshocks.exe .

I understand this is only usesful for harddrives. But my laptop has a SSD.

 

Can you pls confirm I can turn the process off? How can I disable it permanently?

Hi E420s-I-Have and welcome to the Community,

 

That would be the ThinkPad active protection program and no, you don't want it with an ssd.  

 

You can uninstall the program from control panel, programs and features and that should get rid of the tpshocks.exe also.
