0074 ROW the RED LIGHT does not light up !

After the 0074 ROW update,seems speed up a lot of start-up time,

but the RED LIGHT which on the back side above of the lenovo logo doesn't light up,

only start-up time will light up about 5 sec...

any one the same? is this normal for save battery

Same here. And, finally, the tablet sleeps when charging, so can quickly charge it w/o powering off.

With _65 firmware it would wake up in 5-10 seconds, turn the screen on, and fully charge in 20+ hours or so.

The behaviour of the Red light was changed with the new update! It will only be on while charging and during the boot process!

just find out the light still on when you screen was on, just a illttle bit...Brightness is not so high, not easy to see..

p600 - when did you get the update? my TPT is running 65_ROW and it always tells me that the device is up to date.

did you notice better performance with the new update?

It popped up in the morning. My /etc/ota_server.xml points to http://download.lenovo.com/slates/think/tablet1/ and there is an update there. You can apply it manually too.

Cold boots faster now. Otherwise can see no changes.

I got update yesterday (Slovakia) .. version upgraded from 065_ROW  to 074_ROW.

No problems with installation - Booting and unlocking is faster now. 

I can see no other changes so far (only red light LED is turned off after startup)

I have also found that the red light in the "i" of ThinkPad no longer works. It used to indicate a power (screen) on condition as well as wifi radio traffic when the screen was off. Apart for being active for just a few seconds during boot up, the light does nothing now.

Does anyone know whether there's a doucment that detials what these updates contain?

There are release notes but you know they are incomplete. Like most companies, they tell us some but not all.... this is a good example. The notes do not mention a thing about changing the light, but here we have it.
