Here are two things that may require consideration;
- Did you open your tablet and confirm that the antennas exist? Your particular 1838 5RZ may not have them even though they normally do. See the post before yours.
- Unless somebody can tell you of a place in Miami that you can walk into and buy the WWAN card then your best bet would be to order it and have it shipped to where you're staying in Miami. This takes time depending on what you're prepared to pay for shipping and your length of stay may be a factor. I can recommend a place in New York that has it in stock;

i believe that is the same model. Our lenovo X220's that have the same exact Gobi 3000 card are referenced in Device Manager as the MC8355 based sierra wireless card and i've used this card in my work TPT for mobile data.
