I have been trying out 7Note on the TPT. So far it is the best solution I have found for converting handwritten notes to text.
7Notes installs as an alternate keyboard in Android. It allows you to switch to handwriting input in any application. I have been using Evernote and writing text straight into a note. This has been way better than exporting to Evernote like some other apps do. I can open an existing note and write new text.
The recognition has been much more accurate then other apps. As far as I'm concerned this is a must have app for the TPT. Search for 7Note in the Android market.

Fairly amazing. First HWR app that could handle my handwriting. Thanks for the tip.

Can't find it on the market. Maybe it's a US only release.

Just downloaded it and it seems to work pretty well.
FYI - This works in excel and word

I also snagged it and am liking it so far. It's a little rough around the edges, but for the first release it is really well done. It works really well with the ICS build I'm running and toggling touch input makes it work even better! Thanks for the heads up.

I bought this app but only got a normal keyboard. Is there a specific version to buy or do i have to adjust some setting?
I was a little confused at first as well but, first you need to find the app and open it to get the settings done. When you are in an app that requires typing, long press in the input area and select input method and choose the handwriting keyboard and you should be good to to.
FYI - There is an icon in the lower left hand corner to toggle back on forth between a regular keyboard and handwriting (just press on the icon and slide it up or down).
