Volker,
Any way we could choose what the pen button does? Instant drag would be better for classes that have a higher volume of notes, whereas the go-to eraser is perfect for classes with a lot of diagram drawing, but an instant line-tool would be good for my materials class where we have a lot of graphs.
Thanks!

The capacitive buttons are a problem. They are especially problematical for lefties. I have to float my hand over the bottom left to avoid hitting them while writing (or use a handkerchief as a palm rest).
Putting the buttons on top would in the OS eliminate this particular problem (an auto-hide feature would be nice too...) And since the TPT has hardware buttons, we don't need the capacitive buttons at all. I know if I could root my tablet I could hide them. But I'm not rooting any time soon, and google shouldn't want me to root to overcome their design problem here.
One suggestion I have for Quill is that Volker could put an "upside-down mode". Launch the app in normal portrait mode, invert the tablet with the bottom (and any hardware buttons) at the top, lock the screen orientation in this upside-down mode, rotate the tablet back correctly so that everything on screen is now upside-down, including the capacitive buttons, then click the "invert app" button. Now your app is all OK and there are no buttons at the bottom to accidentally brush against. The hardware buttons are there to use, and even those could be put at the top if the user wanted.
The android capacitive buttons would still be upside-down at the top of the screen, but at least it would be functional.

Hi, thanks for your wonderful app.
I suggest the color picker would be more accessible through the bottom left red circle and enable to change pre-defined colors as well
( like sketchbook pro on computer )and draw a direction to select a color or brush or tickness ..

I have to put in my two pennies on this app, since it has been bugging me. This app is all but useless to me as is. There is one reason for this, and that is that the pen sampling is somehow too granular.
I say somehow, because actually I was writing my own app before this was released that surprisingly had almost all of the same features (the only difference is that I wanted to go with a simpler interface), and my app had way faster pen sampling. I.e. when writing quick small letters, detail was not lost as it is in Quill. I stopped writing my app when I decided that the NTrig technology was not good enough for the app to be worth more of my time, and so I decided to see how Quill would progress. I ended up getting a used Thinkpad convertible tablet with Wacom technology to do my notetaking.
It's worth mentioning that I took a look at the thoughtfully open-sourced code, and could not tell why the app produces such coarse granularity. However, I would suggest that the author give this some thought. If anyone is thinking "what are you talking about, the app interpolates between points!?"; it doesn't matter, interpolation is useless if there isn't enough information to begin with (while on that topic, the interpolation could use improvement too, and I could give detailed suggestions on this).
It would still be useful for me to jot down brief notes on my tablet without being frustrated with the poor pen strokes, so I'd like to respectfully request that the core input be improved on. I've seen that the strokes can be much better than Quills with even faster response, because I've written it.
Pictures of strokes in app (saw that the app was still sittin' on my TPT)

Dear Volker,
If there a way to clear the "pen history"?
I normally use 3 colors, but giving a demo I added a couple of additional pens and now they always come in the way: To get the color I want I have to cycle also through colors that I actually never need in practice.
I would just be happy to know if there is any file I could edit/delete to reset it.
Other thing that would really make my daily life easier: change tags to multiple pages at the same time.
By the way, I am now at about 400 pages written with Quill in meetings and I am very happy.
Still, it would be nice to have a place where you tell us what is your priority order for the implementation of all the features we have asked you.
Thanks again for the great work!
Gianluca
