Button on Stylus Pen

Folks - I just got my TPT a couple days ago so still learning. What is the function of the button on the digitizer pen?  It seems to do nothing.

Page 18 of the user guide. Mostly it seems to be useless.

in notes mobile it changes between the OCR pen and the free hand pen for whatever that is worth.

Interesting, I never could get that or Notes Mobile to work right. Haven't used either since I got my TPT.

Are you sure? The button doesn't do anything in Notes Mobile on my TPT.

Agree with Volker1, I can't get the button to do anything in Notes Mobile.

it makes a slight clicking sound when you press it.

Well guys, after all this time I finaly pulled the trigger and bought one of these guys. I'm a college student so I was waiting until I could find it really cheap on eBay because I don't have the money to buy new, shiny tech. That's okay though, I have high hopes for this device!  It hasn't arrived yet, but I already know I'm gonna have this question, so I'll go ahead and revive this old thread since I couldn't find anything with search. So, now that we have root, unlocked bootloaders, etc, has anyone figured out a way to choose what the button on the pen does? I would LOVE to have mine start erasing when held down in certain note taking / drawing apps.

After upgrading to ICS, several note-taking apps have button support built-in. Write and Papyrus come to mind, but I'm sure there are more.
