Flex t9 write question

I saw on a German video that the Flex T9 allows you to handwrite  and it converts it to digital text.  I was under the impression that you could only do this one letter at a time (ala old palm pilots), but he was writing entire words that were converted .  Is this the case for English versions of the tablet

I just tested on mine, able to write out a pair of words without pausing and it converted them on a Google search in the standard browser. Didn't put the space in though but whole words anyhow.

Yes works one word at a time. Would be nice if could write out several words instead of one at a time.
