Re: ICS 4.0 Update announced for May 22nd 2012

I bet, it will not be ready and running without problems until the hottest day in summer....

I agree.  Pen input is O.K., but only if Quill is used.  There is nothing else to recommend it.

Haha, Galaxy S2 has had ICS for a while now =0, not officially though...Well, matters which version you have, but some do have semi-official leaks.

I'm talking official Rogers (in  canada) lte version.  I havnt even heard a release date from Rogers so in that respect Lenovo is ahead.

Re: ICS 4.0 Update announced for May 22nd 2012

honestly i just think it would be nice if the browser stopped crashing and could handle things like selecting text in text boxes on forums like this when the text is longer than the box, or recognising them as full text fields so that swiftkey will give predictions.

The irony of the fact that lenovo's own device doesn't properly support their own support forum is not lost on me.

Of course we'd all also like a pen only mode and the ability to dissapear the app wheel, but lenovo don't seem overly interested in giving users what they ask for in a timely manner. I wonder how many commitee meetings the physical button disabling toggle had to go through? At this rate we'll have a competent device sometime in 2020.

Use either the quick reply button or the html tab on the regular reply page and you won't have a problem replying/posting here. I only use my TPT and SwiftKey and rarely have issues posting anywhere.

Speaking of Quill, why is it that i see it being used in landscape mode but I cannot get it to do that? What gives? I just deleted it and then reloaded it and still, only working in Portrait? Ugh

Either your screen is locked in portrait or you have Quill set for portrait only.

I see no mention of ICS for the K1 tablet. Looks like it will just be for newer models.
