LectureNotes getting better

Today I tried LectureNotes after not using it for quite a while. I'm really impressed by the many updates!

With a little bit of customization I can get almost everything I need for taking notes at university. 

• I love the simple Drawing Tool!
• good Selection Tool
• Nice to have a "one finger zoom" , because I prefer to work in Pen Only mode

One Question:

Did any of you figure out how to import PDF?

There is probably a better way, but what I do is convert a PDF into a JPG (using "File Converter" app from Play store), then import it as an "image", then it becomes a layer on the page I import it to.  A bit clumsy a process at first, but I do it all the time and it's become an easy solution.

Check the Help for all the new features...

If you install the helper app PDFView (also Acadoid), you can actually render PDFs in the app, but it's not great imo, because converts to raster graphics. Still, amazing that he went so far to satisfy feature requests...

You could also import screenshots of the PDF, which you can take easily in ICS (vol down + power).

The developer is awesome, so many great features, but you really have to explore to find what works for you!

Instructions

1 Press the "Power" button. Slide the unlock tab down or to the left. Press the "Home" button.

2 Open the application tray by tapping the button at the bottom of the screen. Tap "Market." Press the "Search" button.

3 Type "Adobe Reader" in the field and press "Go." Tap "Adobe Reader" (with "Adobe Systems" in the publisher field.) Tap "Free" and then "OK."

4 Press the "Home" button. Start your phone's Web browser. Navigate to a page with a PDF document you wish to view. Tap the document to open it in Adobe Reader.

5 Press the "Back" button. Tap and hold the link you pressed in the previous step. Tap "Save file" to save the PDF to your phone's MicroSD card.

funny how Lenovo support staff gives two different non-solutions... not to be a jerk, just saying the users know how to use the apps best...

C'mon 404science, don't be like that.  I don't want to kiss anybody's sacriligious butt, but how different is if the specialist's response was provided by another regular member?

The more suggestions, the better.  You are assuming that the OP knew that he could use Adobe Reader to annotate on the PDFs.

I was probably thinking along the same lines as the specialist.  However, my mind was on ezPDF, which is a paid app as oppose to Adobe reader.

I don't use Lecture Notes as Quill does a pretty good job at satisfying my demands (it's cheaper too).  However, a good suggestion would be to have th developer add a feature for hyperlinks and allow you to link to xls, doc, pdf, etc files located in the internal/external memory and therefore allowing you to annotate in the source file and not having to import picture layers of the file into the Note file.

I was assuming the OP wanted to annotate PDFs with Lecture Notes, as he asked in his post.

There is a reason people want to annotate PDFs with Lecture Notes than Adobe Reader...  You have much more functionality in Lecture Notes for writing than you do in Adobe Reader (no undo for each stroke, for example, or using layers).
