Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet and OpenVPN - installation issue

Good evening

I have Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet (bought 23.02.2012 in Czech republic). I have spent some time trying to install OpenVPN inside but failed.

As written in last week posts, Lenovo (they say) fixed some exploit used for rooting of ThinkPad Tablet.

In fact I do not need to root my device. I acually only need to connect to OpenVPN corporate network.

If there is ANY other way how to use my OpenVPN certificates and connect to cour corporate OpenVPN server I would really appreciate any advice.

You can't install OpenVPN  without root. It requires root privileges and busybox to modify system routes.

OK' La test lenovo updates does No allow to root it.
I do No care About warranty.

is there alreadynany other way how to root TPT now?

Tomas,

Since Android 4.0 you don't need root access anymore for OpenVpn.
Just search for "OpenVpn for Android" on Google Play.
Works fine for me to connect to the servers at my work using OpenVpn on my unrooted ThinkPad tablet.
