Max SD size?

Anyone get a 64GB or higher card to work? 32GB works fine but I don't want to buy a 64GB card if it isn't supported.

Re: Max SD size?

Not supported at this time.  Many of us Thinky fans are awaiting an update to resolve.

Re: Max SD size?

The Thinkpad tablet has a SDHC slot, which has a max limit of 32gb. You will not be able to use a 64GB card.

Re: Max SD size?

The SDHC spec only supports a maximum of 32GB currently, as a poster above noted. You may be thinking of SDXC which is supposed to support up to 2TB, or non-standard SDHC cards, which I have yet to actually see. However, it requires different hardware. Therefore there can be no "update" other than a new model TPT.

As of yet, the only new product I own that supports SDXC is my DSLR camera. It doesn't seem to be widely accepted outside of the camera world--yet.

Betreff: Max SD size?

Hi @ all, Komputerbay 64GB SDXC (!) class 10 works fine on my TPT: 1. to extFAT formatted in windows7 sd slot 2. put it in TPT sd card slot 3. android formats to FAT32 (not available in windows7) 4. Settings show 64 gb card now maybe crash or data lost anytime if data volume > 32 gb, let's see... Enjoy!

Betreff: Max SD size?

skateddy,

Thanks for sharing your first hand experience.   We often have to go by what is officially supported and it is great to hear about specific configurations that customers have gotten to work.

Thanks! :smileyhappy:

Mark

Confirmation for: SDXC 64 gb works flawless in TPT

[ Edited ]
@thinkpad79: As shown in my second post of this thread, the App SD Card Tester has successfully written 61373 MB on the SDXC card and read them later in accurate manner. I am assuming that is a confirmation for data sets larger than 32 GB.
