I have exactely the same problem. OTA3, german o2 SIM.
The above solution with a Vodafone SIM works until reboot.
Support Hotline seemed rather ineffective. At first they wanted to have a remote session (which, of course, doesn't really work on a tablet), then they wanted me to send the tablet in WITHOUT SIM card.
After calling again, I got the information, that the two solutions right now are to send the tablet in (which will result in nothing) or using an older software release which I can get from google (no idea where to get it there). That only Vodafone is supported was mentioned a few times as well.
I really like the tablet, but a Netlock has NEVER been mentioned and it didn't have one before.
I hope we will see a real solution soon, though I doubt it ![]()

Use the case number and open up a complain by sending an email to:
support_de@uk.ibm.com
The email should include the following informations:
1) Case number
2) Model Number of your tablet
3) Serial Number of your tablet
4) Discription of the problem
5) The Solutions given and a comment by you regarding this solutions

I just want to point out on a German Forum where this issue is discussed:

I called the support hotline today and they asked me to send the tablet to the repair center, because they are not able to do diagnostics on software issues on Android Tablets. I denied to send in the machine because I'm sure they can make a fix available over the air. After the phonecall I followed the suggestion of immotrons link (Message #45) und wrote a mail to the Support Team.
I will keep you updated on their answer.

Please see this thread:

Lenovo needs logfiles from the users, who have 3G - issues. A couple of O2-customers did mail them, but Lenovo also needs the logs from users, who have 3G - issues using other providers like D1 etc.
