The european division of lenovo wanted me to pay for that .
...but finally, after 2calls and one email (and maybe a little help from JameZ :-), the rapair was done under warranty.

My switch quit working and I called customer service and was told I would have to reserve $950 on my credit card to cover any repairs not covered under warranty. I was not about to to do this. I waited a couple of days and called again and got a totally different story. The service person could not have been more helpful! Received a UPS box the next day and sent the TPT back on Wednesday. Received regular updates on the website while they had to wait a few days for a backordered part. Received my TPT this morning (Thursday). Everything works like new. The customer service and web updates were great!

My power button is also evidently dead. Just got off the phone with tech support, no mention of any charges. They're sending me a box for a warranty repair.

I just openned my TPT and find the Power Switch was dropped off from the board. I do not have tools to solder it back. So I sticked it back with glue
. Now everything looks like Fine. But I am not sure how long it could stand.
