ROW update is here! Build: 0074_ROW

I was mucking around and saw a download in the notification bar. Opened it up and all it said was "untitled" " untitled". **bleep** !! Tried to kill the download but couldn't do anything to get rid of it.

Left for a while and voila, the firmware update was there.

Would be nice if they'd let me know it was a firmware update coming down.

When you say update, you just go to the settings and About tablet and then the download update part??? I think I updated mine but it didnt state which version it was downloading. it just states that it is downloading osmething and thats it. nor does it  give me the view of which update to install assuming there are multiple updates like how windows 7 allows for user to chose which update to install. How can i check if the update was installed???

my cell standby is gone, haven't checked GPS yet.  Also noticed that the screen orientation button works again.  It might jsut be me, but, I find going through the menus is more responsive, same with the lock screen, not as good as other tablets out there, but, I do see an improvement.

My GPS is working much better!  It struggled to lock sats from inside and now it finds several of them.

I checked mine at lunch,  it wasn't connecting.  My phone connected almost right away... maybe because of data network also.. going to do some testing tonight if I have some time.

This update made the TPT so much better.

I've noticed the screen orientation button working - which is great as it's the only hardware button I actually use!

Besides that the cell standby thing seems to be fixed, and videos are playing much better in the browser.  Still crashes lots though.  Also the palm rejection has improved.

Still no concessions on customisation however.  I wont be happy until I can disable hardware buttons, the quick launcher and touch input if I want to, but I can't see lenovo doing that.  I'm not sure why they had to make it so ridiculously difficult to root.  A security thing maybe?  Meh.  Just a matter of time anyway.
