Hi,
I use the ASUS Mini HDMI to VGA adapter to connect my TPT with a beamer.
The resolution was 1024x768 with Android 3.1 but
after the upgrade to Android 4 (OTA 3), the resolution is 640 x 480 now, which is really poor.
Does anyone has the same experience or a hint how to increase the resolution again?
It's urgent because I use normally my TPT to give lectures at the university,
but with the poor resolution, the TPT is useless.
Cheers,
Marius

I can confirm. Since OTA3 the VGA output resolution is set to
640x480, 60hz
and it seems that it cannot be changed without root. We bought our TPTs mainly for teaching. This bug makes them almost useless...
Lenovo please fix this ASAP!

Hi,
I have not checked it yet, but if this is true it is a major problem. My main reason for purchasing the TPT was for lecturing and annotating slides and if this is now not possible, I no longer need the device (although it is useful for other things, I do not need it without this functionality.
i will check this urgently, but hope it is either not true for all or is fixed very soon.

do you know how to change it with root?
I need a fix till next week and if it is the only way I will do it :-(
Unfortunately, lenovo has not proven to be able to fix bugs quickly :-(

I'm new to Android and have non-rooted TPTs only, so I can't really help.
IMHO there must be somewhere a config file. Probably someone from XDA can help.

It's a clear sign from Lenovo that the TPT is not meant to be used this way. I've recently been using it as a very expensive paperweight, and it works great!
