@ONeill,
Very good to know, but the real complaint is the fact that the AC adapter w/USB Cord charges much more slowly than the Dock. How is that explained?

Funny how they don't sell gloves as accesories too!

Is there any difference between the supplied USB cable and any other USB > Micro USB data cable?
When I first charged the tablet I was rather impressed by how long it took... I thought, wow, charging at 2 A and still taking that long, this thing's gotta have the ultimate battery life ![]()
Cheers

I did not own the supplied cable long enough to know if there are any differences, but I have been able to charge the TPT with 2 other USB cables at decent rates when turned off.

Need a quick charger? Ever heard of using your own hands? Get a 2.5 or 3 A power supply and solder a micro usb cable onto it. No guarantee on the life span of your battery though ![]()

A number of people have actually made fast, portable chargers which plug into the docking port. I have limited knowledge of electronics and no access to relevant tools, so I am unable to make one. But I would gladly purchase one if someone decides to start selling them. While the Lenovo dock is cheap in the US (and maybe Europe), it remains forbidingly expensive elsewhere. Plus it's just too much trouble carrying it around.
