Thinkpad Tablet - unable to download/install ICS upgrade?

When I go to the menu (settings - about tablet - system updates) and choose to check for upgrades, a small box just appears with "checking..." (or something like that) and disappears again, like there was no update available. What's wrong? Connected over WLAN, everything else is working.

You probably have an old update.zip in your download folder. Go to the folder via settings - storage and delete the file.

Thanks! I tried deleting it and it found an update and downloaded and installed, but I'm still after installing stuck at Android 3.1 with kernel 2.6.36.3..

so blame lenovo that they forgot to change version of kernel, think about it like you are using 3.0 kernel (actually without it ics won't work correctly)

I believe you have to apply update by update, so do another manual check for updates. Maybe check the download folder before you start to delete the update.zip if it exists.

Thanks! That did it! I didn't know I had to apply one and one update, I thought they were bundled.. Now it's working with ICS, about time..

ah, at android 3.1? I missed that..
but be ready that kernel will be the same.
