It doesn't replace the Market App 1.0 because it is a different app. Google has two Market Apps, one for Smartphones (3.*) and one for Tablets (1.0.*). I guess they will be rejoind with Android 4.0, but Lenovo has not installed an old app on the tablet, 1.0.28 is the current version of the Android Market for Tablets.
