Re: youtube app missing

That's frankly stupid. I have a brand new TPT and just discovered the lack of YouTube. That Lenovo don't seem interested in fixing this is also rather dismaying. I've already found that I had to uninstall all of the music players in order for my favourite player to work. I'm really starting to wonder whether Lenovo was a wise choice. I can probably fix this, but it's ridiculous that it should be necessary.

Re: youtube app missing

If Youtube is not allowed in certain countries then thats on Google not Lenovo. Now if Lenovo is grouping countries that allow it into the same group that does not allow it, then that is Lenovo's doing and need to be fixed.

@All,

Engineering reverted that this is caused by Google not allowing shipping YouTube in Belgium.

Sorry, but this has nothing to do with Belgium (or other countries). I'm in Switzerland and I could install the Youtube app on my HTC Desire as well as on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. It's just the TPT that can't officially access it from the Android market. Weird. :smileyfrustrated:
