RAID configurations on RD220 Thinkserver

Question

How many arrays does the integrated RAID controller support.  I want to set up four - two drive SAS RAID 1 arrays. Do I need additional controller(s)? 

Answer

 

 

The RD220 comes with either a ServeRAID BR10i or MR10i controller, depending on the model.

 

The BR10i supports RAID 0 and 1 where the MR10i supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60.  

 

Each have 8 ports total.   Either one will support 4x two-drive RAID 1 arrays.
