TS430 3.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drive tray V2.0

The TS430 with 8x3.5" hot-swap models ship with 3.5-inch hard disk drive dummy tray V2.0 [fru number 03X3837].  The 3.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drive tray V2.0 is fru number 03X3835.  Does anyone know the Lenovo part number for this 3.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drive tray V2.0?  Where can the hot-swap trays be purchased? ... from Lenovo? ... from third party suppliers?

Re: TS430 3.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drive tray V2.0

in canada you can call IBM parts at 800-263-2769.   here in the US that FRU is $43.   i'm not sure of the price in canada.

various online resellers have 03X3835 at around $70 USD so i'd try IBM parts first as they may prove both cheaper and faster.

this is the least untruthful answer i can give.Microsoft MVP

Had already  called canada parts, their cost is $63.75; they also gave a sub fru 03x3969.  Will go that route. Tx

Re: TS430 3.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drive tray V2.0

No 03x3835 in-stock at the IBM Parts Sales number you posted above, possibly months for more; and while I specifically asked about alternative/replacement frus, server tech support (in Atlanta, GA, and seems to be staffed with very few knowledgable people) said there weren't any active ones. Lenovo only sells through the channel, no direct sales for server parts, so presumably one of their distributors (Ingram, Synnex, Supercom, Tech Data, D&H, Hartco) have them...

As an authorized reseller, I just brought in a TS430 0441-11U for a customer, but now I cannot find any drive trays for the 8 drives we're using.

It seems every time I try and sell/service something Lenovo, I have this 10+ phone call run around trying to get something done that should be easy enough.
