D20 (4155) Optical Drive Mounting bracket/piece

I'm looking to but one of the brackets that is supposed to be attached to the side of an optical drive for toolless mounting.

I've been trying to figure out what the part is, specifically, but without luck. Would appreciate any help.

are you sure you don't have any?   they're either in use or attached to the back of the bay covers on the front cover.   new systems always contain one bracket per bay.

if you really do need them, the miscellaneous parts kit (FRU 41R5630) contains one or two.   i might also have an extra in storage that i could spare if you only need one.

I'm embarassed to admit this, but when I first got my system, I seem to remember somehow badly bending one of the brackets. Stupid me.

I will check on the inside of the front system faceplate, since it looks, from your pictures, as though one is stashed there.

If not, I will post back, and will probably take you up on your offer, erik. Thanks for all of the help!

Ok, so I just got a chance to crack my case, and sad to say, I don't have any extra brackets.

it turns out that what i have is for the 3.5" bay.   i'll keep looking for one for the 5.25" bay.
