Re: On a D10 ThinkStation what is the plastic part that hold the hard drive to the case?

it could be this one found it in HMM, SAS HDD Filler (all models)
41R5552

and this could be the Cable for the monitor

Dongle Cable - DMS59 to dual DVI (included in Quasar L1) (models )
41X6398

erik, that seems like the cable. Oddly, they sent me only one with my computer but logically I would think there would be two with two cards? Is there a "what's in the box" anywhere you know of?

bocher, I wondered about the 41R5552 but it is so hard to find images (drawings) of some of these parts to confirm what is what.

And 41X6398 is exactly the right part - Apparently I did not get the two of the 40Y7611 adapters (DIGITAL TO ANALOG CONNECTOR DONGLE:ADAPT) also?

Thanks for your help.

Re: On a D10 ThinkStation what is the plastic part that hold the hard drive to the case?

41R5552 is the HDD filler that blocks an empty tray when not populated by a drive.   it's for airflow velocity purposes.

41X6398 is the correct cable.

if you ordered two cards with your D10 then it should have included two cables.   if you want, PM me with your MTM and serial number and i'll look into what was sent with your system.

The palstic part is called a Hard Drive BRACKET.

Written on the bracket is: >ABS/PC< Raven Black C3723

It is found in the Miscellaneous Parts Kit 41R5630.

For the record: The MPK includes only one hard drive bracket.

...and 6 other black plastic parts and one metal part.

The part that swings out when you go to remove a video card.

The part that holds 5 of the HD wires down.

T1270 (clip that clips into the swing out) that pushes against an adapter card.

FLEXPN 124LNVH-006485-100610 (fan bracket / holds end of adapter cards)

Part with 7 holes that relates to adapter cards and swing out.

Donut button like part which is a foot on the bottom of the case.

...And a metal part that allows a 5.1/4" dirve to slide into the case (rail).

i'm pretty sure you're the first person to break, lose, or otherwise damage the drive trays in a thinkstation. :smileytongue:

i forgot about that one.   at least he only needed one tray! :smileyvery-happy:   (sorry, i couldn't resist)

be sure to tell the technician that the MPK only includes one caddy so they can relay that to the parts department.

Thinkstation is now happy with five hard drives loaded.

The HD brackets I received work great and none broke putting drives in.

I found some old adapters (Digital to analog) so I am set there AND I did receive an dongle y splitter.

All is well, and YES I WOULD buy a Thinkstation again without hesitation.

Thanks to all that pitched in to help, your help made a difference!
