S20 and RevoDrive 3 PCI-Express SSD Compatibility

Does the Thinkstation S20 support booting from an OCZ RevoDrive 3 PCI-Express SSD?

What BIOS Setting do I choose?

Assuming that I'm installing Windows 7 from scratch on this SSD, how do I trigger the install to select/see the PCI-E SSD?

Re: S20 and RevoDrive 3 PCI-Express SSD Compatibility

The short answer is this is not officially supported or tested.

I've not personally tried any of these devices out yet, but I suspect it might show up like either a normal "drive", or a bootable device (like a NIC).  At any rate, I fully suspect you'll need to supply some sort of a driver at the normal "choose your install location" screen in order to get the drive to recognize. As long as it recognizes in BIOS, I suspect you should be able to show during the windows install (either natively or by supplying a driver).

hmmm... thanks for the reply.

I'm hoping someone out there has actually tried a pci-e SSD on the S20 for the OS.
