ThinkStation D10 and openSUSE 11.0

Hi you all!

My D10 has just arrived and the first thing i've done, was to install a recent linux-distri. My D10 come with two SAS-Drives. The first one, the little 146 GB drive, is running with Vista and on the second one, the 300 GB is running with SUSE. Now i would install 3 1 TB Western-SATA-drives for archives, backup and so on. And now my question: The 2 SAS-drives are mapped as sda and sdb. Would there be space in the mapping for the rest of the possible SAS-drives, maybe sdc, sdd... and are the SATA-drives behind them or is the bios mapping the SATA-drives _before_ the SAS-drives? Maybe someone has probed this thingi and could answer this here.

And another question is the neat little speaker in this machine. The openSUSE-driver for audio could not quit this speaker. If i has connected the line-out to my amplifier, there is no way to make this little speaker quiet. The only way was to pull the connector off the mainboard. Is there any other resolution for this problem? By the way, under linux, the soundlevel is much, much lower then on Vista. Does anyone has a solution for this Problem?

Way much questions...

Martin
