ThinkStation E20 How to enable ECC?

[ Edited ]

I have the E20  with the i5-650 , 2×2GB 1333 non-ECC  UDIMM , Win 7 64 bit.

Recently I replaced the RAM to 2×4GB 1333 ECC UDIMM (Transcend TS512MLK72V3N). It works well.

But i'm not sure the ECC is enable , i did't found any option in BIOS.

In aida64 it shows it's ECC memory. But  in cpu-z shows the Correction is disable.

The EEC memory should already be enabled in the computer. Once the RAM is installed the computer should recognize the new memory sticks right away.

Could you be more specific in what you are seeing on your computer?

Re: ThinkStation E20 How to enable ECC?

AIDA64 is correct.   the modules you're using are indeed ECC and enabled.   no further steps are needed.   CPU-Z must not be reading the hardware correctly given the blank value in that area.
