Thinkstation E30 warranty support ?

Hi,

 

We just bought a new E30 (7852452U) and it fails to complete the startup sequence ( it says Setup is preparing your computer for first use, and hangs).

 

How can we get warranty service? I tried calling 1-800-426-7378 and after navigating numerous options end up in wrong places.

 

Can anyone provide a better number or person to call or e-mail?

call 800-426-7378 and option 1 for lenovo systems, then option 3 for thinkstation.   enter your four-digit machine type (7824), then option 1 for laptop/server/desktop.   that will connect you with a support rep in atlanta.

 

regarding your system hanging, you might try disconnecting all USB devices except the keyboard to see if that helps.

Your directions for phone support worked - the support rep initially thought I was at the wrong place but then he corrected himself. After a couple of transfers, I was connected to someone who sent me the recovery disks for my machine. Everyone was very courteous. Reinstalling the software was fairly slow, but I finally have a working E30 workstation!
