Thinkstation S10 RAM compatability

Hi there

I would like to freshup my system - a S10 6483 - with 8GB of memory. If i looked around I found this: KTA-MP1066K4/8G.

So: now I think about compatability to my system - the specs looks fine: ecc 1066 ddr3-8500 - but its designed for apple. And now I`m a little confused.

I`s there anybody out there for help me?

that is the ram you need for the ThinkStation S10, the Mac Pro also used that ram.

that is the ECC ram installed in my ThinkStation S10.

However, since you are using aftermarket ram modules and one not specifically tested in S10, you must borne all the risks of using such ram.

Otherwise, you can just buy the ram from Lenovo.

Buy by lenovo would be an option - if it wouldn`s cost soooo much .... lol

I was a little bit confused about the apple compatability - thats the only reason for my question. And so I´ve ordered now by am**** for a little €.

Hi everybody

Maybe its interesting for somebody: the RAM above is fully compatible with the S10 and will only cost roundabout 80€.
