Access Connections - Default name for HSPA connection (T400 with Ericsson WWAN) [ Edited ]

Dear All,

In a previous post I've asked how to change the profile name, as different SIM cards appear with different names (A1 Mobile Broadband, Swisscom Mobile Broadband, etc).

As not very much providers are added in the AC_wanprofiles.xml, I've added mostly all providers we use. But as we sometimes get new providers, I want to have the default name changed to "HSPA Mobile Broadband", it's currently "Mobile Broadband" if the provider is not known.

Does anybody has an idea? Or is that maybe hardcoded? I've not found it in the registry and even not in any config/text file in the AC folder.

The profile name is controlled by

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lenovo\Access Connections\Locations\Mobile Broadband key.

Change "Mobile Broadband" to whatever you like and the same name gets displayed in Access Connections,

I assume it did, as this usually wors fine.
