Even after I uninstalled My WiFi, mobile hotspot still does not appear.
My WiFi still does not work, it keeps failing to assign IP to my devices that try to connect.

Install Access connections 5.93 or 5.95
Install Intel 15.x wireless driver for those with Intel adapters.
Restart the system
Launch Access Connections
make sure you are in Advance mode
Click on tools --> global settings
make sure disable mobile hotspot is unchecked
an 8 or more character password is required for mobile hotspot to work.
Hi bsnf,
I have the same problem also. Need to check with you if T400 can support the Hotspot on Access Connection?
Base on eSupport site the latest drivers version are 14.3.0000. Where can I get the 15.x WIFI drivers for Intel WIFI cards?
Thanks.

Hi,
I downgrade from 5.95 to 5.93 and my T400 are able to use the Mobile Hot Spot features. Seem like it has been disable on 5.95 for older model. I'm still using the 14.3.06 for my WIFI link 5300 card.

Using 5.95 the Mobile Hotspot tab finally appears.
And the "obtaining IP address" issue is actually an android issue

Unfortunately while I am able to connect to my mobile hotspot now, there is no access to Internet...

Does anyone know how to enable the mobile hotspot feature in this version of AC?
I don't have a tab for it, and when i right click the AC icon in the toolbar, the "Start Mobile hotspot" is greyed out.
Anyone tried this?
The start button is not grayed out anymore if you enter more than 8 characters for the password!

I am using Windows 7 and Access Connections 5.97 on a Thinkpad X230, and like others above in this thread am trying to get a precise answer to this situation. Whereas at one point in Access Connections there was a tab that would appear for Mobile Hotspot, for the past many months I no longer ever see a tab in Access Connections called Mobile Hotspot (or anything like that) nor can I see any reference anymore to the concept of Mobile Hotspot in Access Connections.
Does anyone know if it is the case or not that Lenovo has chosen to remove this feature from Access Connections?
Does anyone know if there is something one can do to cause this tab to appear once again in Access Connections?

The current version of Access Connections is 5.98. Try that first - it appears in my Access Connections.
