More on this issue. Pressing the Microphone mute button (next to the blue ThinkPad button) displays the on screen icon correctly centered. After that any other subseqent on screen menus (volume or brightness level) are fixed and displayed correctly again until next hibernation.

Unfortunately the problem still (randomly) persists, mostly after restoration from hibernation. The workaround is to press the Microphone mute button twice slowly (to display the centered mute icon). After that the display brightness level and volume indicators are displayed correctly until next hibernation.

Latest 'Hotkey Features Integration for Windows 7' version 3.81.0100 (On Screen Display version 6.62.01) solves it.
