I nearly positive there was a discrete diagnostic tool when I first got the T520 a month ago. Various updates via the toolbox driver update and such applied. I don't see any subsystem tests any more only memory and nothing specific.
So why isn't it available. Every ThinkPad I've seen in the last 10 years at least has had it. Now I own one its not there!

Yes I saw that. It's now the same as subsystem and total module diagnostic. That's just a idiot light display but no individual or full system board test looking for errors. There are a variety of memory diagnostics and even Window 7 comes with it. Thats not as big a deal but nothing else anymore as with PC Doctor for IBM.
