I want to disable Access connections and install Intel Wi-Fi Connection utility. I don't want to uninstall the Access connection. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks

Right click on your Windows wireless icon in your taskbar and click Open Network Connections
Right click on the wireless conenction you wish to use (Usually just one) and goto properties then the Wireless Networks tab.
There you should see a box 'Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings'
Check that and it shoudl disable Access Connections.
Lemme know if that works for you, or if you need screenshots to assist.

There is no icon for Windows wireless and there is no tab for "wirelss networks" in the properties. On the taskbar, I only see access connection icons. It seems that Access connection is hovering and managing the connection exclusively.
It won't let Intel wi-fi connection utility to be installed.

Why not to disable the autostart of Access Connections when laptop boots up? Just launch msconfig.exe and uncheck the application.
