Hi

I am using a T400. I have both Windows and Linux installed in my laptop. Does anybody know if Rescue and Recovery can backup and recover my entire hard drive, or just the windows partition?

hi 

it will only recvoer ur windows partition and that to to the default no of partitions..if u still want linux go for acronis true image or try using virtualization for linux

You seem like an expert. Just to clarify you stated "to the default no. of partitions." What do you mean? 1) the default parition? Example I am dual booting Vista 32 and W7 64. Will recover both? Or 2) do you mean the Vista parition? Vista was installed first.

Default partition: The one  which came with your system.(If vista came with your system)

So what you are saying is the Backup and Restore will do so only for the Vista (defailt) and the W7 on the other parition wont be able to use Backup and Restore? Yes or No?

Also the Backup and Restore seems to want to back up to the non Vista parition. Tried it and seems like that is what it wanted to do but there was not sufficient space. Is this normal? Yes or No?

This place seems like a ghostown. Does Lenovo even statt the board with help? You figure people pay for a warranty  and they expect support. Seems like Gateway nowadays.
