E520 Rescue Recovery

New E520, Win 7, Rescue & Recovery 4.31: I personalized desktop now want to take a 'gold copy' for restoration. Rescue backup runs (2 hours), completes successfully but when I view backups (on Q:?) no backups exist. Have rebooted and rerun backup successfully.  Same result.  What am I doing wrong? Does Windows 7 'Protection' impact this?  Computer/Properties shows C: drive Protection = on but Lenovo_Recovery partition Protection is OFF(?).

What did you back it up on. CDs? DVDs? A external hard drive or usb flash drive?

 

The Lenovo Rescue and Recovery partition does not store your backup on that partition.

you can only see the backups using R&R view backups button

how can i reboot my computer as my son has forgotten his password and we dont have a recover disk.
please help.
