Is there a way to bypass the 'final C' disc when restoring from a backup? [ Edited ]

I am attempting to restore from a backup performed by Recovery & Restore 1.0

I don't recall the creation of a final C disc, yet I'm required to provide it for the restore process.

The last disc is not recognized by the restore app for this purpose.

Please help, this data is very critical.

The Final C disc is created at time of backup and is the last disc written; however, it is very easy to inadvertantly cancel the backup process prior to writing this disc -- the "Cancel" button in the application dialog is live (activated if you hit the enter key), and the user is not asked to confirm the cancellation.  If you do not have a Final C disc, it is possible that you did not complete the backup process in the first place.

Whether you can salvage some data from the harddrive if the Final C disc has not been accessed is a question for the developers -- I am not aware of a process for doing so.

Not much help I realize, but I wanted you to know at least that there is not some easy trick you are missing.

Thanks, not helpful in the way of restoring the backup, but saving me the time I would spend on trying to do it anyway
