Hi - I downloaded and installed the latest version of TSVU, rebooted and started the program. I get the windows message "TSVU application has stopped working". Same if I run as administrator. There is nothing showing up in the logs under the SystemUpdate folder but Windows event viewer shows:

Can you please check in services control panel to make sure the "System Update" service is installed and started? Also try changing its start type from Automatic Delayed Start to Automatic.
Also, about the logs, are you saying there is no "logs" folder inside "C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\System Update"?

Hi - the service is started, but I changed it to Automatic as suggested. I've stopped and started the service again but the program still won't start. It's not that the logs folder doesn't exist, just that the log files within it are zero bytes long.

Is there anything in the "%localappdata%\crashdumps" folder?

Please try importing the attached reg file to enable crash dump generation on windows, reboot, then try to reproduce the crash again.
Then look in "%localappdata%\crashdumps"

OK, 38mb of crash dump generated - and that is after uninstalling and reinstalling the product. What shall I do with it?

Please use dropbox, sugarsync, yousendit, or a similar service to upload the file and post a link here.

Thank you for the dmp file. I will ask the software team to investigate and report back here when I know something more.
