Missing option for "Automatically Power Off Optical Drive"?

[ Edited ]

Hello,

i just got my Thinkpad L420 and i replaced the HDD with my SSD and installed fresh copy of windows 7 64bit. First i downloaded WI-Fi driver using my desktop and then downloaded System Update 4 which downloaded all the drivers. Including Power Manager 3.

My Power Management does NOT show an option for "Automatically Power Off Optical Drive". And i see two icons on My Computer fro DVD RW Drive.

First one is under "Devices with Removable Storage":

DVD RW Drive (D: )

Second one is under "Other(1)":

DVD RW Drive (D: )(Powered Off)

I am confused what excatly is the problem, and anyone help me?

Thanks.

Re: Missing option for "Automatically Power Off Optical Drive"?

Kindly uninstall the DVD drive driver from the device manager and then restart the system to reinstall the driver.

The drive which is coming under Safely Removed hardware is virtual drive which usually comes from software or games.

You can remove it.

Also, update your Power Manager software.

You may download it from the mentioned below web link.
