My ThinkPad ( a 6457-4XU ) i.e. a T61 running Windows Xp Pro (32bit i.e. x86)
and ThinkVantage Toolbox i.e. PC-Doctor version 6.0.5849.23
stores files on its own accord, in this folder --
c:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/PCDr/5849/
There's almost 200MB of snapshots and all that other stuff in there ... 2 years' worth.
Where's the setting in the Toolbox / Doctor which will tell it how to clean up after itself. ?
How many snapshots, how many weeks/months worth of data to retain ?
I don't like having so many old files kept around by this application.
There are 2317 files in this folder --
c:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/PCDr/
Those items all have to be scanned during nightly backups and virus checks on a regular basis.
How can I inform the application that it should not retain so much stuff in my application data area? Larry
