Password Manager 3.20 does not recognize the fingerprint reader

I have an X61 tablet and I'm using Windows 7 64bit version. I have upgraded to Client Security Solution 8.30.0031.00 with Password Manager 3.20.0320.00. I have installed the patch (tvtcss83patch_office2007_64) for the office issue I was having.

The windows login screen reads and accepts the fingerprint reader. However any passwords I enter after logging into Windows 7 does not prompt me to use the password manager. It did work once, but the one website it did record also does not prompt for a finger print. I have uninstall/reinstalled the password manager. I have "inactived" the fingerprint reader TPM in the bios and then used client security to reactive the process.

When I access the password manager either within or outside of client security it states "The request operation requires fingerprint authentication, but the device is not available".

Not sure how to resolve this issue your help is greatly appreciated

Hi,

once you open the CSS window, then on the right side you should see the option called "Fingerprint". It should be on the botom of this window.
Please select this option and then choose "Manage". Try to configur the Fingerprint in here, so that it will be reinicialized.

Let me know, if you already tested this option and if yes, then the step-by-step procedure would be appreciated.

I tried what you suggested. I opened up CSS and selected Manage fingerprint. I had three already configured and delete all finger prints for the current user. I then added two fingerprints. I then tried to load the password manager and I'm still get the message that the finger print device is not available.
