does this mean i have to set everything up new from scratch ????

also i just noticed i was already runningt CSS 8.30.0045 already and the patch can only run on 049 -

how do i manually upgrade the CSS to 049 and furthermore do i need to uninstall anything for that as well ?

Export the settings and list of passwords for Password Manager first before you uninstall the previous version of CSS. Do uninstall previous FF4 patch too. Then install CSS 0.49 then patch FF5.

JameZ - all i did was install 049 over 045 - i did NOT uninstall password manager or anything !!! the upgrade worked - the patch worked.
i logged on to here first and want to say thanks a million !!!

Thanks for the update. I did the long way by uninstalling previous CSS, reboot then only installed the new version then patch.

Ditto here. I just updated CSS and did the FF patch. Worked like a charm. Please remind me not to update FF again unless the recurring problem is resolved! (: LewBob

are there any news about a solution for users in Germany (german system language)?

As I posted 07-18-2011 07:49 AM  and 07-16-2011 02:35 PM, the patch doesn´t work in german systems.

FF5 with win7 64bit working ok but I have problem with suspend mode. My T500 starts but when I used finger print after suspend I can't take desktop. Before upgrade to new version CSS I don't have any problems with suspend mode. Can you check it in yours systems?

Am able to resume from sleep mode / hibernate without any issue using the fingerprint only.
