Re: Password Manager compatibility issue with FireFox 5

Unfortenately, no luck here on a German Windows 7 SP1 64-bit system after update to CSS 8.3.00049 and installation of the patch for FF 5.0. May be the problem reported earlier (C:\Programme vs C:\Program Files)?

Re: Password Manager compatibility issue with FireFox 5

The upgraded CSS and FF5 patch for Win 7 (64-bit) does not work with www.wellsfargo.com. The XP (32-bit) version works just fine. The problem with the Win 7 (64-bit) version is that while the password field is filled in, the username field is not.

Thanks for looking into this.

I also tried making several new entries without success for the Wells Fargo website. For the record I'm running Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit) with all the latest patches.

Re: Password Manager compatibility issue with FireFox 5

I'm getting error dialog "An unknown exception occurred, the patch installation failed" trying to install the FF5 patch. The error window appears 4 times, then says installation has completed. I still get the typelib notifier when I start up FF5.

It's a T43 running Windows 7 32-bit Home Premium SP 1 with Norton Internet Security 2011.

1) Updated CSS to 049 - worked OK, rebooted

2) upgraded FF4 to 5, uninstalled the FF4 patch, rebooted.

3) nstalled the FF5 patch (with errors), rebooted

I've tried disabling the antivirus and installing with "run as administrator" with no success.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Kim

Re: Password Manager compatibility issue with FireFox 5

@krochat,

Try uninstalling CSS 0.49 and the FF4 / FF5 patch. Reboot then install CSS 0.49 then patch FF5.

I am on a Win 7 32bit too and it works fine.

Re: Password Manager compatibility issue with FireFox 5

@Mainframer,

www.wellsfargo.com -> engineer found issue, working on it.

@VW_Lupo_TD,

vwvortext forum uses a different authentication method. The team will not be able to support the site for now.
