Every now and then I run the Lenovo drivers and updates tool and it works great, but for some reason this update even after being installed multiple times keeps appearing in the critical list:
Rescue and Recovery Cumulative WER patch for Windows 7
I see this same problem on two Windows installs....

I am having the same issue. Any ideas?

Hi,
do you still see this issue?
I have to say, that I was also seeing this issue and recently when I use the latest version of TVSU (for Win7) I install this patch and it is no longer present.
Can you test againg this situation by installing this patch.
Or if you don't want to install, then hide it as already adviced.
Cheers

Phew, I was glad to see I wasn't the only one having this problem. I tried it again this AM and after having the ol' ThinkPad hang after the reboot I did a forced boot. After about 1/2 hour the notification slider came up saying there were no issues. The critical update message seems to have gone away.

Same problem here. Version 4.00.0024 of system update. I have 'installed' this critical update three times in the last few days, and it still shows in the list. Would like to make sure that it is installed, because I seem to be having some issues with recovery & restore.
Edit - I noticed there was a new version of R&R, 4.31 for Windows7 .. I installed it, and the update patch is no longer in system update, and some issues I was having with R&R have gone away.
When I updated R&R, it said to discard startup disks created with the earlier recovery environment. Not sure if that means I need to use the new R&R startup with the image I made to CDs before I did the update and the original system recovery disks I made.

Hi,
once you updated RnR you will need to create a new Rescue media, as the old one is no longer copatible with the new version and new backup files.
BTW: also you will need to take new backups, as the old ones are not compatible with the new version of RnR.
Cheers

Click the Do not show this update link. The update is removed from the list.
