I would imagine that it would not need to be reinstalled, but i am not 100% positive on this.

Thanks much.  Think I will go back to my image where it is not installed at all and let the tech do his work first and then reinstall the app and the patch and go from there.

Just to update - the other day a tech came and updated my serial number and machine type in Bios and now I am able to run System Update without incident.  Thanks much for your help.
