ThinkVantage Power Manager - how to disable PMTask (PowerManager Task)?

[ Edited ]

I have got the latest version of this feature and after switching from Energy Star to High Battery Performance, a new task called PMTask (PowerManager Task) has appeared on my Windows XP Scheduled Tasks.

I wish to disable the task as i don't need it running though even if i disable it manualy, it will be automaticly relaunched when changing power schemes or rebooting the system. I could just delete the task though i don't really mind having it for emergencies (it can perserve battery life when system is idling).

Is there any way, withing the PM utility itself i persume, to stop this task from auto enabling itself?

Thanks in advance.
