I recently purchased a ThinkPad E420-1141 A24, which is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I opened the ThinkVantage toolbox for the first time and it indicated that there was an toolbox software update available. I selected that it should install the update and it did. Now whenever I try to open toolbox I get an error message that say "ThinkVantage Tool Box has stopped running" and the program never loads.
I went to the Lenovo downloads and installed a system update and some other patches but nothing has resolved the problem. I did a search on Google and saw that others had this problem back in 2009/2010. The solutions recommended did not work and the links to patches or fixes are too old for the version of toolbox that is on my computer.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can fix the toolbox?
