Thinkpad Edge e420 - Targeted read test and smart short self test failed [ Edited ]

Hi,

Recently my hardware scans shows two failed test.

1. Targeted Read test

2. Smart short self test.

Please any one help regarding this.

I have read the another post with same issue, the download links are not working, so i cannot test with those utility.

I have run the lenovo diagonistics utility, it also gave me the same results.

Please guide me to fix this or I wanna replace the HDD.

Hi I have the same problem, and downloaded utilities, both hang on the these two tests.

Should I contact Lenovo for replacement hard drive?

did u test ur discs both with a full hardwarescan ?

in my case the full hardwarescan failed at ssd s targeting read test

but when i test both disc with a separed scan both disc passing all tests.

i already contacted lenovo tech support and they send me two new discs 1 msata and another hdd.

but at the moment i safed too much important files and project to my os that i can´t risc to ruin it but will try that next week. and then give u guys an updated asap.

so hold tight
